Hello Hello

Dear Reader,

The title I’ve chosen for this space is Along The Seam, which is also the name of one of my podcasts (shameless plug here). For me, Along The Seam is the space in between - in between past and present, in between our old selves and our new selves, in between one decision and another. It’s the grey. The paradox. The contradiction. The question. The place of binding connection.

I’m going to use this platform freely to share some of the stories I’m working on these days, highlight other people’s work that I find important and inspiring, share storytelling prompts that I use in my writing classes, and take time to just enjoy the curious and creative act of writing. If you choose to subscribe, you will be receiving new entries right to your inbox. I can’t promise how often they will come to you as I’m releasing myself from any pressure for this to be anything more than a space of connection. But, I can promise that the topics will be varied, ebbing and flowing as life often does between the serious, the lighthearted, the thoughtful, the mundane and the unexplained. There will be nature, grief, history, poetry, and hopefully other topics I haven’t even thought about yet.

Thank you for sharing this space with me.

From here in Maine,

Rachael
